Our Vision
To rebuild, restore and reimagine the historial ruinous Plean House and its stables as a Community Asset Transfer for community use.
The independent trust, Plean House and Stables, was awarded charitable status in January 2026 and are working to raise funds to carry out feasibility studies in order to carry out a Community Asset Transfer to restore both buildings.
We aim to carry out the work over two phases.
Phase One is a five-year plan to restore the former stables and create a community cafe, exhibition area and spaces which can be used by the community for meetings, gatherings or functions.
The focus will then turn to Phase Two which is to return the house back to its former glory. Our vision is to restore this to potentially include a working kitchen, extend the living exhibition with some of the rooms to be recreated to how they would have looked.
We will then review the use of the stables making sure best use is made of both buildings and compliment each other.
