The charity behind the plans to rebuild and restore the house and stables within Plean Country Park back to their former glory for community use have received their first donation – £500 from Plean Precast.
Plean House and Stables, have used the money to buy their own equipment to help them run their monthly fund-raising cake and coffee stall in Plean Country Park.
Chair Jackie Stewart, said: “The donation is a great start for us and has meant we can buy equipment including a gazebo, branded high-visibility vests and catering equipment to help us with the stall.
“We have relied on the generosity of locals and the Friends of Plean Country Park who have let us borrow their equipment to start us off. Their support has proved invaluable. This donation will help us get off the ground and drive forward with our fundraising and help us continue to provide a cuppa and cake to those in the park.”
Neil MacGregor, Financial Director of Plean Precast, said:
“We’re proud to support this exciting project at such a pivotal early stage. Plean Country Park is a treasured community asset, and we’re delighted to see local enthusiasm driving plans to restore the House and Stables to their former glory. This initiative will create a lasting benefit for everyone who enjoys the park.”

The team from Plean House and Stables will be operating the cake and coffee stall the first Saturday of the month within Plean County Park.

Plean House and Stables were awarded charitable status by the Scottish Charity Regulator OSCR in January (registered SCIO number SC054907).
