East Plean Primary School has joined forces with Plean House and Stables to reduce the amount of used printer cartridges going to landfill while at the same time raising funds.
The school answered our call to be a public collection point for used printer cartridges which will then be converted into cash.
Chair of the charity, Jackie Stewart, said: “This is one way we can raise funds while reducing the amount of waste going into landfill which is important to us. One of our aims is to reduce waste and recycle where possible. This is an ideal way for us to raise some funds while playing our part, even if it is a small part, to help look after the environment.
“We are also acutely aware of the pressure on people’s pockets right now and this is one way people can help support us without adding financial pressure to them.”
Used printer cartridges can be dropped off in the collection box in the reception area without any need to go into the school itself. Drop-offs can be made 9am-4pm during term time. Outwith term time contact pleanhouseandstables@gmail.com
